Agent Roles
In Valorant, every character you can play is called an Agent. Each Agent has a unique set of abilities that can change how a round plays out. To make things easier to understand, Agents are grouped into roles: Duelists, Controllers, Initiators, and Sentinels.
Duelists are aggressive fighters meant to lead attacks, Controllers use smokes and abilities to control space, Initiators help teams break through defenses, and Sentinels provide support and protect areas. Learning these roles makes it easier to pick an Agent that fits your style and helps your team succeed.
